Der Verband wurde 1924 als \u201eF\u00fcnfter Wohlfahrtsverband\u201c in der Weimarer Republik gegr\u00fcndet, 1934 aufgel\u00f6st und nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg wiedergegr\u00fcndet. Die Ergebnisse flossen in ein verbandsinternes Geschichts-Wiki.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In rund 50 thematischen Artikeln wird ein weites Spektrum abgedeckt. Es reicht von A wie \u201eAgenda 2010\u201c bis W wie \u201eWohnen\u201c. Hinzu kommen 24 biografische Artikel, die zentrale Akteur:innen des Verbands vorstellen. Ein Schwerpunkt der Darstellung liegt in der Verkn\u00fcpfung der Verbandsgeschichte mit der Geschichte der sozialen Bewegungen, die die Bundesrepublik seit den 1960er Jahren pr\u00e4gten.
